From Norway to Normandy

Between poems and paintings, harmonies of choral Europe

The A Coeur Joie Normandie Pole and the National Youth Choir of Norway offer a discovery of the choral musical heritage of the Norman countries and its evolution from traditional music to contemporary repertoire: a cappella works or with instruments, stemming from folklore, the Renaissance, classical, romantic, and contemporary periods.

Through a multidisciplinary concert, a musical creation inspired by a text from the Honfleur poetess Lucie Delarue-Mardrus and composed by Iris Thion-Poncet is presented.
