Raoul, Gilbert and the others: Guillaume's companions

The Archives Pole presents an exhibition about life during the time of William the Conqueror, with a focus on his companions connected to the territory of the Seine-Eure Agglomeration.

Indeed, the study of sources related to the conquest of England reveals that several of William's companions originated from the Seine-Eure territory: Gilbert de Venables, Raoul de Tosny, Roger de Pîtres, or, more legendarily, the archers of Vaudreuil.

The exhibition is designed to be traveling to cultural and educational institutions in the area, in order to reach the largest audience possible.
