The Pôle Archives offers an exhibition about life during the time of William the Conqueror, with a central theme of the mention of his companions who have a connection to the territory of the Seine-Eure Agglomeration.

Indeed, the study of sources related to the conquest of England reveals that several companions of William originated from the Seine-Eure territory: Gilbert de Venables, Raoul de Tosny, Roger de Pîtres, or, in a more legendary manner, the archers of Vaudreuil.

The exhibition is designed to travel to cultural and educational institutions in the area, in order to reach the greatest number of people.
