Seine Challenge 2027

The European rowing celebrates the 1000 years of the Normans

Défi Seine 2027 is an international rowing regatta organized as part of the Millennium.
The competition takes place over a 6.4 km course in the heart of the city, between Île Lacroix and Pont Flaubert.

For two hours, the crews take turns competing in a time trial format. The boats chase each other on a round trip course, providing spectators with a continuous show from the quays and the adjacent public spaces. The turning point of Défi Seine, a key moment, occurs in front of Pont Flaubert, west of Rouen.

The event brings together French and European clubs around the values of sporting performance, friendliness, and sharing, while highlighting the historical link between Rouen and its river. Many public activities are planned around it.
