20 June 2027

This day offers a progressive introduction to stone carving. It begins with the discovery of tools and fundamental techniques, leading to the creation of a piece in limestone.
The workshop is led by Pauline Duramé, a stone carver and sculptor from Normandy, trained at the school of master stone carvers and sculptors in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. Her guidance allows for an accessible and hands-on approach to the practice.

The experience is part of the legacy of craftsmanship which, since the great projects of the year 1000, has shaped French architectural heritage, particularly the churches of light stone, and continues to this day.

Accessible from the age of 6, this initiation offers an initial hands-on approach to stone work, based on experimentation and transmission.
