Experience a unique culinary journey inspired by the year 1066 in the very town where history unfolds.

An evolving specials menu runs throughout the year, featuring dishes inspired by the ingredients and cooking methods of the period, including rabbit, potage, ale, herbs, and warming spices. 

The chefs draw on medieval recipes, local produce, and traditional techniques to recreate the flavours of the time.

While not a strict historical re-enactment, each dish offers insight into the foods likely enjoyed by both Normans and Saxons in the months surrounding the Battle of Hastings.

This immersive dining experience brings history to the table, celebrating Hastings’ rich past through food, drink, and storytelling.
