From Medieval to Fantasy The youth spaces of Barneville-Carteret and Gréville-Hague are organizing a day dedicated to Trollball at the gymnasium of Barneville-Carteret. Originating from the world of live-action role-playing games and medieval-fantasy, Trollball draws inspiration from games like Blood Bowl and playful practices developed in the late 20th century during gatherings of enthusiasts. It has now established itself as a distinct discipline. This sport pits two teams against each other in a dynamic confrontation combining strategy, agility, and team spirit. The goal is to place a "troll head" in the opposing team's camp while preventing the other team's progress. Exchanges take place using foam and latex weapons, in a supervised and safe environment, where touched players are temporarily eliminated. At the intersection of physical activity and imagination, Trollball promotes cooperation, a sense of play, and immersion in a medieval-fantasy universe. This discipline offers an experience that is both sporty and playful. Part of the dynamic of the Millenium festivities, the day highlights original practices around games, history, and imagination, in a spirit of sharing and friendliness. The youth commission of Barneville-Carteret participates in the organization by ensuring part of the logistics and a catering space.
