Two kings for the crown
11 July 2027
A show by the Compagnie Tadam
Presented in the form of interactive theater, this creation plunges into 1066 at the heart of a historical trial opposing William the Conqueror to Harold Godwinson, around the question of the legitimate inheritance of the throne of England.
The staging places a judge in front of the protagonists and gives voice to a succession of emblematic witnesses, including Matilda of Flanders, Odo of Bayeux, Edith of Wessex, and King Edward the Confessor.
The performance, lasting approximately 40 minutes, relies on a participatory approach, notably including a contest for the best "hat head."
The setup invites the audience to take part in the unfolding of the trial, even taking a position on the outcome of the judgment.
