Portrait of a City

For several weeks, the collective The Spring of the Machinist will take to the streets of Fécamp with a mobile stand that will serve both as a workspace and an identifiable "hotspot," a meeting place for the people of Fécamp.

During their journey, the artists of the collective will draw and record the city and its inhabitants to create a portrait that will be both auditory and visual.

Their route will begin where that of William the Conqueror ended when he visited the city - at the site of the former fortress, and will make its way to the sea.

Like the Bayeux Tapestry, Fécamp will have its own fresco, presented on a volume intended to be exhibited in the city.
