Weaving History

The Museum of Normand Traditions and Arts - Château de Martainville commissions a plastic artist or craftsperson to create a contemporary textile wall artwork around the theme Weaving History: Normandy 1027-2027.

A residency period allows the public to meet the artist and discover their artistic approach and exceptional skills.

The artwork will be inaugurated during the European Days of Arts and Crafts and displayed in the museum's permanent exhibition, accompanied by a mediation device.

The project is supported by the Institute for French Know-How and backed by the Normandy Region and the DRAC.
