William the Conqueror

A show for young and old This show tells the story of William the Bastard who became William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy, in a context marked by plots and political rivalries. Drawing inspiration from the tradition of the theater on trestles, the students present two 30-minute shows. The first recounts William's rise to the duchy of Normandy at the age of eight until his marriage to Matilda of Flanders. The second is dedicated to the conquest of England and his accession to the English throne. Carried by a troupe of young actors, this project revisits a major figure of medieval history through a popular and accessible theatrical form.
