Theatrical and Musical Reading

The theatrical and musical reading "William the Conqueror – When the Conquest Erases Peace and the Truce of God," presented by the Association of the Theatre for the Conqueror, is inspired by the play by Bernard Guillois, published by Lys Bleu in 2025.

In five acts, this performance recounts the key moments of the life of William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy who became King of England.

It portrays the conspiracy of the Richardides (act I), the establishment of Peace and the Truce of God (act II), the preparation for the invasion of England (act III), the conquest itself (act IV), and then the family struggles that marked the end of his reign until his death (act V).
