And what if we welded the Bayeux Tapestry?

The Association of Welders of the Wharf
reinterpret the Bayeux Tapestry in metal. This emblematic work, which tells the epic story of William the Conqueror in images, becomes a collective creation where each artist appropriates a sequence of the tapestry in their own plastic language.

The narrative is divided into several scenes: each artist corresponds to a sequence and a unique interpretation. While the story remains the same, the styles, techniques, and worlds respond to one another in a great diversity of forms.

Assembled into a monumental mural, these creations give birth to a collection of unique sculptures, offering a fresh and contemporary perspective on one of the most famous testimonies of Norman history.
