Rosalia the Norman

The 402nd Feast of Santa Rosalia, patron saint of Palermo, will enliven the heart of the city on the evening of July 14, 2026, and will be accompanied by a rich calendar of events that lead up to the European Year of the Normans 2027, of which the city will be the protagonist.

A bronze medal at the Bea World Festival 2024 and a gold medal at BEA Italy 2025, as the best Italian cultural event, the Feast of Santa Rosalia officially ranks among the most anticipated events in the world and attracts millions of visitors each year through its traditional route.

Since 1624, indeed, a human parade transports, aboard a themed float, the Saint who freed Palermo from the plague from the Norman Palace to Porta Felice: four narrative stages of songs, dances, and music.
