Musical exchange trip

A musical and historical journey!

Based in Coutances, a town twinned with Hauteville-la-Guichard and Troina in Sicily, the Orchestra is organizing a meeting that naturally fits into a strong common history. The idea of a musical journey to Sicily resonates as an echo of the epic of the sons of Tancred of Hauteville-la-Guichard, an emblematic historical figure whose legacy connects these territories. Regular exchanges with Sicilian partners, who have already been welcomed several times in Coutances, strengthen this dynamic.

Developed in close connection with the twinning committee, the project brings together fifty musicians engaged in an artistic and human adventure in Troina.

The objectives are multiple: to discover Sicily, to explore the history of the Tancreds on site, to share and give concerts, to play and exchange with the Orchestra of Troina, and to immerse themselves in the culture and heritage of the region.

Music thus becomes a vector of encounter, transmission, and dialogue between two territories united by history.
