Normans on the Move

A Cinematic Journey Across Europe

“Normans on the Move: A Cinematic Journey Across Europe” is a series of film-making workshops organized in regions shaped by Norman heritage: Jersey, Ireland, and Norway.

Led by French and local film professionals, these workshops bring together 10 to 15 participants in each country to conceive and produce, within 72 hours, documentary, fiction, or experimental short films exploring Norman migrations and intercultural encounters.

Each workshop fosters European cooperation through a cross-border mobility scheme, enabling one participant to take part in a workshop hosted in another partner country.

The highlight of the project is a final workshop held in September 2027 as part of the 28th edition of the Off-Courts Festival in Trouville-sur-Mer, France. It brings together participants from all partner territories to collaborate on a collective creation celebrating this shared heritage.
