The event "Walk in History - Medieval Marsico" takes place in the historic center of Marsico Nuovo and recalls the visit of St. Thomas Aquinas to his sister Theodora, wife of Roger II San Severino, Count of the fief. The initiative celebrates the historical, cultural, and landscape heritage of the village through a narrative that intertwines faith, family memory, and territorial identity. The day opens with the gathering of participants in costume, coming from the five historical districts of the town: Civita, Portello, Casale, San Vito, and Sant'Elia. The historic center comes alive with medieval-themed setups, food stands dedicated to typical dishes of the Marsican tradition, and moments of popular entertainment. A central element of the event is the Palio delle Cinque Contrade, a competition among the city's districts that ignites the participation of the local community. The winning district from the previous edition defends its title in a challenge filled with games, sportsmanship, and a sense of belonging. Practical Information: Free For everyone Contacts
